Measure at the right point
Input readings tell you what you gave the plant. Runoff readings tell you what the root zone is doing. You need both to interpret a problem.
Ranges that work
Soil and soilless media prefer different pH windows. Stay inside the window rather than chasing a single decimal.
When not to correct
A single odd reading is noise. Two consistent readings in the same direction are a trend worth acting on.
